Meet the Team

John is the Chairman of 6800 Capital, L.L.C. and Co-Managing Member.  He founded 6800 Capital, L.L.C. in March 1988.  From October 1976 to July 1988 he was President of the Winegardner Companies, a group of private corporations and partnerships founded by Roy Winegardner, a former Chairman and major shareholder of Holiday Inn Corporation.  Mr. McDonnell's duties included the management of the companies' investments, and it was during this period that he developed his strategy of allocating assets among diversified professional managers.  Mr. McDonnell graduated with a degree in Finance from Iona College. 

Robert is the President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, Co-Chair of the Investment Committee, and Co-Managing Member of 6800 Capital, L.L.C.   He has been affiliated with 6800 Capital, L.L.C. since May 1994.  From August 1989 through May 1994, he was a co-founder and principal of the Princeton Futures Group, which consisted of a registered CPO, a registered introducing broker, a registered investment advisor, and a registered broker-dealer.  From April 1987 through August 1989, Mr. Keck was a Principal of the Allonby Corporation, a registered commodity trading advisor.  Prior to that, Mr. Keck was employed by Prudential-Bache Securities, Inc. as a First Vice President and Vice President and Director of Seaport Futures Management Company, a registered CPO affiliate of Prudential Bache.  Mr. Keck attended New York University and the American Conservatory of Music and Fine Arts in France.

Laura is the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of 6800 Capital, L.L.C.  Prior to joining 6800 Capital, L.L.C. in May 1994, she was a Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of the Princeton Futures Group.  Prior to joining Princeton Futures Group in October 1990, Ms. Latella was an analyst and controller for the Edison Venture Funds.  From October 1985 through April 1988, she was employed by Princeton/Montrose Partners, a venture capital fund.  Prior to that, Ms. Latella was Manager of Corporate Accounting for Commodities Corporation (USA).  Ms. Latella has a B.S. in Buiness Administration from The College of New Jersey and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University.

Paul is the firm's Director of Research and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee.  He joined 6800 Capital, L.L.C. in January 2008, having previously worked for 6800 Capital, L.L.C. from 1997 to 1999.  Prior to rejoining 6800 Capital, L.L.C., Mr. Morin managed PRM Advisors L.L.C., a hedge fund consultancy research firm. Concurrently he acted as Chief Operating Office of FBS Management Inc., a quantitative equity market neutral hedge fund.  From 2003 through 2005, he was Executive Director of Unigestion Ltd., a Geneva based wealth manager and hedge fund of funds. While at Unigestion, he launched and managed a U.S. based subsidiary responsible for hedge fund due diligence in North America.  Mr. Morin has also held hedge fund of fund research and management positions with Commodities Corporation USA and RefcoFund Holdings L.L.C.  He earned a B.A. in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an M.B.A. from Rider University for which he was awarded membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
